Hello everyone! So in my most recent Sunday Post, I said that my hamster Cookie had made a full recovery from pneumonia. Well, he had, but in the early hours of Monday morning he passed away quite suddenly. Thankfully, we all managed to be with him at the end.
I’m not sure why he passed away, I think it may have been a tumour as hamsters are prone to them, but as you can probably guess I’m totally heartbroken.
As a result, I don’t think I’ll be posting much this week, but I hope to get going again with the blog next week. It’s been a few very stressful weeks for me and my blog has had to go on the back burner.

Thank you. Yeah it was nice we all managed to be there for him, would have been worse to just find him when I got up in the morning.

I know how you feel. Two years ago we lost our little Pomeranian Lacey. She was almost 14 and she had been sickly for the past week. We actually had a vet appointment for the next morning, but when my husband and I woke up she was curled up next to us and she had passed away in her sleep. It was horrible. It’ll be two years in March and I still haven’t gotten over it😔 Sorry for the babble.😕

Oh that’s so sad. Don’t apologise! It’s nice to get it all out. I’m sure she had a great life with you and she clearly lived a long time! With Cookie, we’d actually seen the vets the day before and they thought he was pretty much recovered. Obviously was just his time to go. 😞

Thank you! It’s hard when pets pass away as they’re one of the family, even little hamsters! He even managed to win over my dad, who doesn’t like animals at all haha.
