Hello there!

My name is Caitlin, I’m 22 years old and a graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in BA English. So, you guessed it, I love books!

This is where you’ll find book reviews, my thoughts on writing, and the occasional post on TV, film, or music that has caught my eye.

I will mostly be posting about books and writing, so here’s a quick snippet of what you can expect:

I like adult and YA fiction alike. Sci-fi, horror and fantasy are my favourite genres; however, I also read contemporary, historical, thriller, and the classics when the mood takes me. I like so many different authors, from Garth Nix all the way to Virginia Woolf. The list is endless.

Some other things I like: Marvel, Sebastian Stan, Peaky Blinders, zombies, Cillian Murphy, The 100, Kings of Leon, Tom Hardy, The 1975, The Temper Trap, WWII literature and films, Mr Robot, Foals, film scores, Paramore, alt-J, video games, candles, Quentin Tarantino, London Grammar, The National, Pinterest, Stranger Things, to name but a few.

Here’s a quick lowdown on what my book rating’s mean:

1/5 – I’m really sorry but this book was terrible

2/5 – It wasn’t great but it could have been even worse

3/5 – It had some good parts but there were faults; I liked some aspects but it just didn’t WOW me

4/5 – I really enjoyed this book. Room for a little bit of improvement but I definitely liked it

5/5 – I loved this book! Virtually faultless. Couldn’t put it down
