Hello, I’m back! I took a week away from the blogosphere because my boyfriend came to visit.
So, a little while back, I was nominated by the lovely Maya @ Maya the Book Explorer for the Versatile Blogger Award, so thank you very much!
The Rules
- Show the award on your blog
- Thank the person that has nominated you
- Share 7 different facts about yourself
- Nominate 15 blogs of your choice
- Link your nominees and let them know of your nomination
7 Facts About Little Old Me
- I have a degree in BA English from Royal Holloway, University of London, and don’t let anyone tell you English degrees are easy because they really aren’t!
- I have a Syrian Hamster called Cookie who’s very tame but also very naughty. He loves cheese and will wrestle you for it.
- I want to be a successful author sometime in the future and I’ve previously been published and won competitions so fingers crossed!
- I really love anything apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic, whether it’s a book, a film or a TV programme; there’s just something really fascinating about the apocalypse. Oh and zombies!
- My favourite author of all time is Virginia Woolf.
- I enjoy photography and would love to be a proper wildlife photographer but I’m nowhere near good enough, so taking photos of random cats and my hamster will have to suffice.
- I like dinosaurs because I’m secretly a three-year-old boy at heart.
I Nominate
- Puput @ Sparkling Letters
- Ellie @ Ellie Maloney
- Elle @ Perusing Pages
- Jill @ Rant and Rave About Books
- Laura @ Laura Writes NE
- Ola @ Ola Reads Books
- Martin @ A Pretty Wonderful Book
I know that’s not 15 nominations but I’ve been nominating and tagging so many blogs recently I don’t want to keep bombarding all the same people! But these blogs nominated here are all ones I enjoy and worthy of the award.
Thanks so much for doing this post! I love your facts and congrats on your degree in BA English! 🙂

Thanks so much for the tag. Great facts! I’m also a writer. I haven’t done much of it lately but that’s so cool that you’ve been published and won contests. And who doesn’t love dinosaurs. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies. They’ve remastered the original in 3D and it looks amazing. I highly recommend it for all dinosaur lovers! 🙂

No problem! And thank you! It’s great to hear you’re a writer too! I can totally understand having a bit of a writing slump, I had one for about three years whilst I was away at university haha. Ooh I didn’t know they’d remastered Jurassic Park in 3D! I’m definitely gonna give that a watch, thanks for telling me! 🙂

It’s been a few months for my writing slump. I wish I could write. I miss it. Yeah, it looks great in 3D you should totally check it out. 🙂

Might be worth just forcing yourself to write, even if it’s just gibberish! That should get you back into the swing of it. And I definitely will! 🙂

If it makes you feel any better, when I was like 9 or something I used to draw dinosaurs ALL THE TIME. I had this whole little art series going on in which I drew dinosaurs, like, helping people. E.g. flying people around like a plane, saving them from a burning building… Lol. So it’s not just 3-year-old boys into dinosaurs 😉 And your hamster sounds adorable! I have always loved rodents for pets. I used to have hamsters and then a guinea pig 🙂

Hahaha that’s amazing! I love the idea of dinosaurs saving people rather than eating people! And thank you! I love rodents too haha they’re a lot smarter and more affectionate as pets than a lot of people think! I’ve never been allowed anything bigger, I’ve only ever had hamsters as pets. I think when I’m 60 I’ll still have hamsters haha! 🙂

Rodents really do have so much more personality than people think! At least some of them, but, you know, no matter what type of animal there will always be some less friendly/affectionate/excitable/whatever and some more. My point is, I agree. Most people don’t give them enough credit.

As someone who has also earned a BA in English Lit., I agree it’s not that easy at all.

Haha I’m glad someone agrees, it’s really not an easy degree, especially when you’re reading about 4 novels a week!

I just saw this and thank you for nominating me! 😀 I also love everything post apocalyptic! Creepy and dangerous and all! Oh and maybe you should post your writing here sometimes? Or did you do it already and I missed it? 😛

No problem! 🙂 I’m glad you like post apocalyptic stuff too, my parents think I’m strange for enjoying it haha! And no I haven’t, I used to write fan fiction actually when I was younger and post it online but I don’t write it anymore. Maybe I’ll post some stuff on here one time but I’m working on a novel so haven’t written anything short in a while! Thanks for suggesting it though, it’s a good idea 🙂

Yes and I also love extremely bloody & brutal scenes in books, I’m sure my parents would think that strange too 😛 Oooh a novel is great! I used to write short stories too but it’s in my native language though hehe I’ve been planning to write again but keep putting it off 😦 yayyy looking forward to it! 😀

Haha same here! Books are boring if they’re just all light and fluffy! I hope you get back to writing soon! Writers block is the worst.
